I have written before about the overinvestment in AI. I seem to be in good company… Google’s CEO says if that bubble bursts, society will have a big problem.
This is an interesting article on ArsTechnica in which the Google CEO mentions several things that aren’t really new, but it is striking that he is talking about them openly.
- He knows we are in an AI bubble and there is a chance it will burst. And when that happens we will then have a huge economic problem.
- That AI will be a huge societal disruption, but that all the people who get fired because of it will find some other job…
If you know your car is going way too fast and you shouldn’t take a sharp turn because you will crash, shouldn’t you even take your foot off the accelerator and brake a bit?
